Osthi (Tamil: ஒஸ்தி) is an Indian Tamil action film directed by S. Dharani, starring Silambarasan Simbu in the lead role. A remake of the 2010 blockbuster Hindi film Dabangg, directed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap and written by Dileep Shukla, it will feature Githan Ramesh, Telugu film actress Richa Gangopadhyay, in her Tamil debut, Sonu Sood, reprising his role from the original, Nizhalgal Ravi and Revathi in supporting roles. The pooja was held at AVM studios in Chennai on May 10th, 2011 to officially launch the film.
